It only takes a spark!
Just like a fire, faith starts with a small spark. Sharing and defending your faith becomes that spark that begins a change in someone.
A spark can jump a barrier and get into hard to reach places. You may be the spark that spreads into places and hearts that you thought were impossible to reach. Have the wisdom to know how to act around people. Understand and sense when someone’s emotional kindling is ready. Be productive in your speech and attitude.
Paul addresses this in Colossians 4:5-6, “Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”
Be intuitive and sensitive to when you can share the gospel with someone. Always be ready to share your insight and thoughts with people. You may share the gospel with someone you don’t know very well or haven’t spent much time with but you don’t know how God will use the winds of faith to kindle that spark. It doesn’t take much. It will start small and will erupt into a positive and beautiful spiritual fire. Be that spark!
