The Mwamba children’s choir of Uganda Africa is planning its first tour to Los Angeles and they need your help.
If you are part of a church, school or organization that would enjoy hosting the choir, including a live band specializing in traditional and contemporary African sounds, then give them a call (805-380-5873) or visit their website at mwambachildrenschoir.com/latour/ .
These children have been orphaned or abandoned by their parents are and coming to America to perform their music and make lasting friendships.
This has become a bright spot in their lives and in the lives of those who have hosted them. The World has become small enough that we don’t have to travel beyond our own community to effectively help those in need outside of America. Please, consider hosting the choir and helping them achieve their dreams through musical expression.

Scripture says in Deuteronomy 29:29
“The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.”
This one verse makes two things very clear…in this life, there will bee some things you will know, and some thing you won’t know.
But as a human being, I’m sure that doesn’t always sit well with you. It is your nature to want answers to every question…every inquiry must be answered and wrapped up with a neat little bow.
But the quest for answers must be for the right reasons and you should always know why you seek the answers you seek. Are they answers yoou need to know, or answers you want to know?
This past week, Jimmy Hoffa, former Teamsters boss, was in the news again nearly 40 years after his disappearance.
Last seen on July 30, 1975, Roseville police have been recently taking soil samples from a home in suburban Detroit. This all comes after a tipster made claims of seeing a body being buried on the property just after Hoffa’s infamous disappearance.
This is just the latest part of and on-again, off-again search for the missing Teamster boss whose mysterious disappearance as poked at the public’s curiosity for decades.
If you think about it, law enforcement wants answers to their questions because they want to solve and close the case. The general public however, just wants to know for the sake of knowing.
I understand how these kinds of mysteries can entice human interest, but you must also learn that not every mystery will be solved.
Television shows like the various CSI incarnations, or NCIS and the like are entertaining but they also build a false sense of how answers are found…always, every time, without exception.
This false expectation can permeate your spiritual life as well.
There are times you ask questions of God that you couldn’t possibly understand.
But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?”
There are other times that you want answers to things you don’t deserve to know or they don’t really affect you…this is really nothing more than gossip.
“A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid anyone who talks too much.”
Sometimes people you ask questions, not simply for the answer but to set you up for a fall…
2000 years ago the religious leaders used questions like “should we pay taxes?” to try and trap me into giving an answer that would make me lose favor with the Jewish people or land me in jail with the Romans. This shows that the Pharisees were not interested in finding true answers; they had their own agenda and used questions as weapons.
I too asked questions in the Bible. Often I used questions to teach people something about themselves or to lead them to the truth.
I used questions to point out the hypocrisy of the religious leaders and those in denial about the sin in their lives.
So remember when you seek answers, they should be meaningful…not just answers for answers sake.
And also remember the most important question I asked in scripture is the most important question of all to those who seek real answers and the truth…
“Who do you say that I am?”….
